Direct Access Supplies have been providing bespoke and accredited on-site training courses for over 30 years. These courses specialise in; Working at Height, Rescue, Manual Handling and Emergency First Aid.
New for 2024 we are excited to launch our own training centre in Cambridge, which will host a variety of open courses starting in April. This will allow our customers to maintain training for their teams without the need for an on-site course, making it more cost effective and accessible.

Course: PFPE Inspection
Our PFPE (Personal Fall Protection Equipment) inspection course is crucial for ensuring safety when Working at Height. Our course covers the Legislation, Standards, duties and responsibilities to make you a competent person that can inspect, record, and manage the safe use of PFPE in the workplace.
Course: Emergency First Aid
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is designed to provide first aiders with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to emergency situations in the workplace.
Course: Manual Handling
Our manual handling course is for individuals who engage in lifting, carrying, or moving objects as part of their work. This course focuses on safe techniques to prevent injuries related to manual handling.
Course: Confined Space and Rescue
Our confined space training course is essential for individuals who work in, or near confined spaces. These courses provide knowledge and skills to ensure safety, legal compliance and effective risk management.
We also offer rescue training for both Work at Height/rooftops and confined spaces, which covers provisioning and practical exercises.
Course: Harness – Working at Height/Roof Safety
Our Working at Height Harness and roof safety training course is designed to equip the delegate with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe work practices when working on roofs and elevated areas. We will cover the relevant Legislation, pre-use inspections of harnesses and other PFPE. The practical element of the course covers harness donning, as well as safe access to roof areas and the use of horizontal/vertical lifelines.
Course: Train-the-Trainer
Our bespoke Train-the-Trainer courses for Portable Steps/Ladders allow you to create your own in house training team to provide portable step/ladder training to your wider workforce.
Course: Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs)
We offer both bespoke and IPAF accredited training courses to suit your needs. The course covers Legislation related to the use of MEWP’s (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms), safe use and pre-use checks/function tests. We will also cover the selection of appropriate PPE when using a MEWP.
Course: Aluminium Scaffold Towers
We offer both bespoke and PASMA accredited training courses for aluminium scaffold towers. Each course covers the necessary Legislation, Regulations, Standards, safe use, and pre-use inspection. The course includes a multiple choice exam and practical session to ensure competence.
Course: Portable Steps and Ladders
Portable steps/ladders continue to be one of the highest risk pieces of equipment used in the workplace. Our certified training features all the content required to keep you and your team as safe as possible. We cover everything from relevant Legislation, Standards and Duty Ratings, pre-use inspections, maintenance and safe use. The course includes a multiple choice exam and practical session to ensure competence.
